Mission

The Elder Maltreatment Alliance (EMA) mission is to coordinate a community-wide cooperative response to the ethical concerns regarding at-risk older adults, while enhancing supports and education to providers.

About Us

The Elder Maltreatment Alliance (EMA) is a non-profit community group that advocates, educates and provides awareness in the community to prevent elder abuse.

The Elder Maltreatment Alliance has members who have a strong desire to assist in eliminating elder abuse. Meetings are open to anyone interested in advocating.

SARAH is a special initiative of the Elder Maltreatment Alliance designed to assist older adults in emergent situations (violence, abuse, and/or neglect). Recipients must be a resident of Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen or Pendleton County. SARAH provides one-time financial assistance to older adults in dire situations to produce a positive outcome and achieve a better quality of life. SARAH is a last resort fund when no additional government, corporate, or private assistance is available.
